Advocacy through Empowerment
Jessica graduated from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles in 2018, where she specialized in civil litigation and trial practice. During law school, she worked on her first trial, defending a client against a breach of contract lawsuit in a federal court. She also worked as a certified mediator during that time. Her appreciation for all avenues of conflict resolution has since deepened as she has endeavored to tailor her litigation approach to both the specific and broader needs of each case and client, and to obtain the best possible outcome for those unique needs.
After law school, Jessica joined the legal team of a prominent healthcare organization in Washington State, where she gained invaluable experience delving into litigation matters and closely monitoring trials. This further solidified her passion for civil litigation defense work and she eventually took on the endeavor of working at a civil defense firm defending individual healthcare providers, hospitals, clinics, labs, and long-term care facilities in malpractice and civil lawsuits involving complex medical issues and catastrophic injuries, as well as in licensing matters. Her experience also includes a broad spectrum of matters outside of healthcare, including auto and other injury, professional liability, premise liability, harassment, neighbor disputes, estate issues, and guardianship matters.
Jessica finds great fulfillment in the time she spends understanding her clients’ experiences, and in demystifying the legal process for her clients so that they can move forward empowered to navigate the legal journey with confidence. Her favorite moments, however, are securing early dismissals for her clients so that they can return to their lives unburdened by the stresses of litigation as quickly as possible.
When she isn’t defending her clients in legal matters, Jessica embraces life’s adventures. An outdoor enthusiast, she enjoys backpacking and exploring the trails and beaches of the Pacific Northwest. Her other passions include travel, oil painting, and spending quality time with her pup, family, and friends. Occasionally, she reconnects with the classical harp music she grew up studying.
